IE7 reverting to work offline
I do however, have a user who utilized IE6 for a while and installed IE7 in place and is having the same problems you are describing. I also feel installing IE7 is a big deal as we all know that IE is deeply integrated into the OS. (Be it bad or good) I know that this could be a pain and may not be possible but I

IE7 Fails to Install
I have followed all the instructions, uninstalled IE7 without ZA etc and then I tried the download with IE6. It failed too??? Downloaded a few k of Winzip! Reinstalled IE7 and it still fails. What is really odd is the Windows Update works fine, but I suppose that is not a true IE7 download. At a real loss now.

As suspected, NIS2005 does NOT recognize IE7. The work-around is to temporarily overide the version reported by UA by (temporarily) adding a Version = "MSIE 6.0" string in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARMicrosoft/Windows/CurrentVerion/Internet Settings/5.0/User Agent Then there are NO INTERNET EXPLORER
